Dirty Birds

Dirty Birds was a solo exhibition of new paintings and sculptures exploring themes around feminine intimacy and shame. Exhibited within the artist’s bedroom, Dirty Birds was created within an intimate setting, referencing archaic bird symbolism and contemporary popular culture. The title was a play on words, referencing pigeons living in Edinburgh and the word ‘bird’ as a British slang term for women.
